How To Use Email Templates

Use your own copy alongside — or instead of — SpeakerDrive's AI-generated outreach, and A/B test what gets the best replies for your voice.

The Philosophy: Mix, Match, Test You don't have to choose between your templates and SpeakerDrive's AI. Fill any slot with your own copy, leave others blank to let the AI handle them, and add multiple variants per slot to test what works.

How It Works:

  • Three Slots - Initial Outreach, Follow-up 1, and Follow-up 2 each accept your own templates. Any slot left empty falls back to SpeakerDrive's AI copy, so you can mix custom and AI across the sequence.

  • Add a Variant - Click Add a Variant in any slot, then build your subject line and body in the editor.

  • Skip Greeting & Sign-off - Both are auto-populated. Just write the body copy — no need to type "Hi [first name]" yourself.

  • Insert Variables - Drop in dynamic fields like lead name and website directly into your copy.

  • A/B Test Automatically - Add multiple variants to a slot and the system rotates between them randomly on send.

  • Speaker vs Assistant Mode - Each mode has its own template set. Configure them separately so the copy matches who's appearing to send the email.

Setting Up Send Mode:

  • Email Signatures - Manage your Speaker and Assistant signatures in Email Signature with a live preview of each.

  • Toggle Send Mode - Switch between Me / Assistant in Outreach Settings → Sending As.

  • Assistant Fallback - When Assistant mode is on, the system uses your Assistant templates if set — otherwise it generates fresh AI copy in Assistant voice.
