Once you've found a promising lead, it's time to reach out. Speaker Drive's composer helps you craft messages that start genuine conversations. Let's walk through how it works.
Opening the Composer
After you've unlocked a lead, click the "Generate Outreach" button. The composer slides out from the right side of your screen, ready to help you craft your message.
Choosing Your Channel
The composer offers three ways to reach out:
- Email: Direct messages to decision-makers or event contacts
- LinkedIn: Professional network outreach
- Apply: Submissions for speaker applications
Note: Available channels depend on your lead type. Contact leads get email and LinkedIn options, event email leads get email only, and event URLs get the apply option.
Setting Up Your Message
The composer has three key settings that shape your outreach:
I'm Pitching
Tell the AI what you're offering:
- Keynote Speaking
- Workshops
- Coaching
- Consulting
- Facilitation
- Other
This defaults to your profile settings, but you can change it for each opportunity.
My Context
This pulls from your professional profile, giving the AI context about your background and expertise. If you notice something missing, just click "Edit" to update your profile.
Message Customization
Want to emphasize something specific? Add custom instructions to guide the AI. Maybe you want to highlight a particular aspect of your experience or address a specific point about the event.
Generating Your Message
Hit the green "Generate Outreach" button, and the AI gets to work. It considers:
- The lead details (event info or contact background)
- Your professional context
- What you're pitching
- Any custom instructions
You'll get three different message variations to choose from. Each one aims to start a conversation rather than close a deal.
Picking and Using Your Message
Look through your options and pick the one that feels most natural. You can:
- Save the message for later
- Copy it directly to your clipboard
- Download the lead and message details
- Push it to your CRM (coming soon)
