Your SpeakerDrive profile is more than just an online bio—it's the engine that powers every personalized outreach message you send. Keeping your profile well-maintained helps our AI create more effective outreach, leading to better connections.
Your Profile's Critical Role
What is Your Profile?
Think of your profile as the core source of truth for our AI. It's your personal storyteller, providing the context the system needs to understand your unique expertise and experience.
Why is it So Important?
Your profile is the source of all personalization in your outreach messages. When our AI creates tailored messages, it pulls relevant details directly from your profile to create meaningful connections with potential clients. It guides the AI composer when creating outreach messages and sets default settings.
Initial Setup: We Give You a Head Start
When you first join SpeakerDrive, we do some heavy lifting for you. Our system researches your background and creates a detailed professional profile to serve as your first draft—comprehensive, but ready for your personal touch.
Anatomy of Your Profile: A Field-by-Field Guide
Here's a breakdown of each section on your "My Profile" page:
Basic Information
Professional Photo: Your visual first impression. Upload a clear, professional headshot.
Name & Email: Standard identification used within the platform.
Core Service & Credibility
Primary Service: Select your main offering (Keynote Speaking, Workshops, etc.) from the dropdown. This sets your default for the "Position Message For" option in the Message Composer (though you can always change this for specific messages directly within the composer).
Website: (Optional but Highly Recommended) Your website supports your credibility when recipients click through from your message to learn more about you.
Tagline: (Optional but Recommended) This provides a quick snapshot of your brand. Our AI creates one for you, but you can update it to better reflect your unique positioning.
Phone Number: (Optional) This gives prospects another way to reach you if they prefer.
Bio & Experience: The Heart of Personalization
What it is: This critical information is now split into two fields: 'Bio' (your overall background) and 'Experience' (specific examples). Both fields serve as your "My Context" in the outreach composer, providing the raw material for personalization.
What to Include (Most Important): Be specific! The more detail you provide across these two fields, the better the AI can work. Include:
• Named past clients and events
• Specific results and accomplishments you've achieved for clients
• Relevant industry experience
• Locations of past events or clients – this can help the AI create "small world" moments by referencing shared geography
• Unique methodologies or approaches you use
Tip: Think about what makes you stand out and list concrete examples.
How to Manage It:
• Update Anytime: You can (and should) edit these sections whenever you have new achievements or shift your focus. Changes take effect immediately for all future outreach.
• Control Content: If there's something you don't want the AI to potentially use, simply remove it. The AI can only work with what's currently in your profile.
Assistant Information (Optional)
Purpose: Use these fields only if you plan to use the "Assistant" Voice Profile, which allows someone (like a manager or team member) to send outreach on your behalf.
Fields: Assistant Name, Email, Title, and Phone.
How it Works: When the "Assistant" Voice Profile is active, messages will be written from their perspective (referring to you in the third person) and will use the assistant's contact information in the signature.
When to Use: Only when actively using the "Assistant" Voice Profile. Otherwise, you can leave this section blank.
Your Profile in Action
Connecting to the Composer:
When you find a lead and click "Generate Outreach," the composer intelligently pulls information from your 'Bio' and 'Experience' fields and combines it with the lead's information to craft relevant, personalized message options.
Connecting to Voice Profiles:
While your profile provides the what (your experience, clients, results), Voice Profiles determine the how (the tone, style, and structure of your messages). If you want to further customize how your messages sound, head over to the Voice Profiles section.
